Following the huge success of the 2020 event and with thanks to Simon O’Donoghue, Dickinson Gleeson, 3D Events and all of our competitors and supporters of the Sark Jersey Challenge, we are delighted to announce that we will return on Saturday 31 July 2021!
The next event will be open to teams of 2-6 people, each competing head to head to be the first team to cross the finish line.
The challenge plans to include a stunning 4.5k running challenge across the length of Sark, where teams will meet in Sark on the morning of the event and together run from one end of the beautiful Island to the other. At the end of the run, teams will transition into their team boats from the shores of Sark and one team member will dive straight into the sea to start the swim relay challenge. The swim takes teams from the shores of Sark to the bay of of Greve De Lecq, Jersey (subject to all final permissions and government event guidelines).
On completion of the challenge, there will be a fun prize giving with some food and drink to celebrate the achievements of the day. Hot food will be on offer to competitors and skippers at the end of the day. Everyone is welcome and so feel free to invite you friends and family to join us for the celebrations, just remember to book them a ‘guest’ ticket on the Race Nation registration system.
We are pleased to confirm that we will again raise valuable funds for Jersey Alzheimers Association and with your help, we want to raise even more than this years fantastic £12,000.00 fundraising total. Find out more on our chosen charity www.jerseyalzheimers.com by visiting their website.
We will again be supported by Race Nation who have new improved tracking software for competitors to use from their phone. So everyone can track your progress live! You can download the Race Nation app here. Further details of this to be provided to our competitors nearer to the event!
